Angong Niuhuang Wan has over 200 years of history and was recorded in Chinese medicine book Systematized Identification of Warm (pathogen) Diseases (Wen Bing Tiao Bian) written in the Qing Dynasty.

According to the Pharmacopoeia of the People’s Republic of China, Zhong Hua Ben Cao (Chinese Materia Medica) & Zhongyao Dacidian:
- Bovis Calculus (Niuhuang): Clear the heart, sweep phlegm, extinguish wind and remove toxins
- Moschus (Shexiang): Open the orifices with aroma, free the collateral vessels and enlighten the spirit
- Borneolum (Meihuabingpian): Clear heart, open the orifices and enlighten the spirit, use in loss of consciousness in febrile disease
Functions and indication:
To clear heat, remove toxins, settle fright, open the orifices. This product is suitable for those who have febrile disease caused by pathogenic factors entering the pericardium, high fever and fright syncope, loss of consciousness, delirious speech. Ingredients:
Bovis Calculus, Powdered Buffalo Horn Extract, Moschus,Realgar Powder, Coptidis Rhizoma, Scutellariae Radix, Gardeniae Fructus,Curcumae Radix, Borneolum, Margarita and Cinnabaris Powder
Dosage & method of usage:
For oral administration, 1 pill per time, once a day. 1/4 pill per time for children under 3 years old, 1/2 pill per time for between 4 years old and 6 years old, once a day; or as advised by health professionals.
